Playful, feminine, modern...Introducing Gigi.

Introducing my newest collection, Gigi.  I decided on this name because it fit the collection so well.  Gigi is filled with pretty patterns that have a retro flare and will be perfect for any girl...no matter her age.  It is playful and feminine with a fresh color palette. I found some really fun photos from Freepik.com and Pexels.com that I used to mock-up some prints from this collection.  I seriously want all of these beautiful dresses in my wardrobe!  :)

Mid Mod Mash Up

Today I played with some more sketches that I created last fall.  This latest collection of patterns is sort of a MidMod Mashup.  I combined several different retro illustration using the same color palette.  The result is fresh, funky and so fun!  I can easily see these patterns on beautiful flowing maxi dresses, as well as stylish outdoor patio cushions and pillows. I just need a name for this collection.  Any thoughts???  Please leave me a comment with any suggestions.  Thank you!  xx

A little bit of MidMod play today

My poor computer has been out of commission for almost a week.  I finally got it back up and running today and decided to just play with some MidMod designs that I sketched last fall.  I love these simple wonky shapes and adore this fresh and modern color palette.  Sometimes I just like to play with colors to see how they look in a pattern.  I didn't really have a plan for this pattern, but knew I wanted the colors to be bold.  I really love how it turned out!  I would love to see this on some curtains in my living room!!  What would you use it on?

It's not always as simple as black and white.

HAHA!  This was an interesting challenge for me.  My work is typically full of  BIG BOLD COLOR.   Honestly, I have not done much using just black and white...even though that is how all of my work starts out.  So, I was surprised by how much this contrast drew me in!  Even though it has a very minimal color palette, it makes a BOLD statement.  It is clean and crisp and FABULOUS!  The palette definitely has a modern feel and I love that!  I have mocked up several designs to show you the possibilities.  Hope you enjoy Glenna as much as I do!

I am in love with this dress!!
