What could be better than fresh picked daisies and a bowl full of fresh blueberries?

With Christmas behind us and temps in the negative digits, I have decided to set my sights on summer inspired prints and illustrations.  I am feeling the warmth already!  Two of my all time favorite things that remind me of summer are daisies and blueberries...and oh how pretty they are together!  Wouldn't these patterns look lovely on tea towels and sun dresses?!  And, who doesn't need a summer backpack to take on a hike or to the beach?  I would love this backpack!  Bring on the warm weather....PLEASE!!

Just Another Pattern Sunday....

The weather today was a bit wet, cold and gloomy, but I enjoyed paging through my sketchbook for some design inspiration.  I love it when I can pull images from different pages and combine them into a fun collection.  My sweet girly Ruby was right beside me working away on her drawings too.  We had a fun, creative day and made some pretty patterns.  Introducing....Juniper.  I really love the playful patterns and color palette of this collection.  Oh Happy Day!  Wishing everyone a great week!  xo

It's a "Sunny Day" with my girl!

Introducing the first pattern collection with my girl Ruby!  We each contributed 3 designs to this collection, and Ruby chose the name "Sunny Day".  Doesn't this just brighten your day?!  My heart is bursting with joy!!  I can't wait to develop more collections with my sweet girly!!  Love her to the sun and back!!! xo

These long dreary winter days seem to go on and on and on...BUT, coffee, music, and positive thinking have me gearing up for warmer days!  I have been sketching lots and lots of flowers and all kinds of spring and summer elements.  Recently, I sketched these sweet little flowers and berries and quickly had to add color to them.  Pinterest is my go to place for color collections.  I have a board of my favorite palettes that I draw inspiration from.  I ended up pulling colors from about 5 inspiration palette collections and I LOVE the results! Summer Folly...Ahhhh...Wishful Thinking!

In Minnesota, 9 times out of 10 Memorial Day weekend is rainy and cold.  And yes, this weekend certainly lives up to those statistics.  Okay...they are not really statistics...just my opinion.  But if you ask any Minnesotan they will probably agree with me.  So, since the weather is damp and gray, I decided to create a little bit of sunshine myself.  Inspired by vintage prints, here is my playful summer folly print.
