Creekside on a Lazy Afternoon

Take an lazy afternoon hike along a babbling creek and discover the beauty that nature holds.  Spy birds building nests, hunting for food, and teaching their young to fly.  The sweet fragrance of wildflowers fills the air and transports you back to your childhood.  Ripples in the water dance with the reflection of the hazy sun, and LIFE is abound everywhere.  The gentle wind rustles the leaves as they call out your name.

Nature...take a walk and take it in.

Inspired by nature...Introducing "Creekside".

Pantone color of the year 2018

Pantone just introduced their color of the year for 2018.  It is Ultra Violet 18-3838.  I decided to do a quick mini collection using this color.  This was a bit challenging for me, because I rarely use purple in my work.  It has never been a favorite color of mine, but I must say that this color combination is gorgeous.  I believe I am developing a fondness for Ultra Violet. :)  So, what are your thoughts?  Do you like Ultra Violet?  I would love to know.

Scandinavian Play...Introducing Solveig

There are many nationalities in my family, however the majority is Scandinavian.  I adore Scandinavian style, prints, and color.  Plus, being a Minnesota girl, there is no end to the multitudes of inspiration around me.  Scandinavian prints and textiles have a real vibrancy and playfulness to their design.  I thought it would be fun to play a bit with Scandinavian inspired elements and see what might develop.  I must say I am quite pleased with the way this collection came together.  And how fitting is the name Solveig?  I just LOVE it!  I also played a bit with some mockups to see how the patterns would look on pillows, cushions and lampshades.  I feel that Solveig would be absolutely wonderful on home decor items and would love to see that become a reality.  I hope you enjoy Solveig as much as I do!

What could be better than fresh picked daisies and a bowl full of fresh blueberries?

With Christmas behind us and temps in the negative digits, I have decided to set my sights on summer inspired prints and illustrations.  I am feeling the warmth already!  Two of my all time favorite things that remind me of summer are daisies and blueberries...and oh how pretty they are together!  Wouldn't these patterns look lovely on tea towels and sun dresses?!  And, who doesn't need a summer backpack to take on a hike or to the beach?  I would love this backpack!  Bring on the warm weather....PLEASE!!

New Collection with a Vintage Flare....Introducing Harlow

My new collection Harlow is full of color, yet has a softer palette that pairs well with the delicate floral motifs.  I designed the flowers and abstract texture to have a vintage flare.  I think these patterns would add a lovely feminine touch to the dinner table.  They also look beautiful printed up as fabric and made into an adorable little sundress.  And...how cute is that little boy's onsie?!  Hope you enjoy Harlow! xx

Lanai Collection

My husband said this collection reminds him of a Hawaiian getaway...and the Beach Boys album
"Endless Summer" (see below).
Hawaii's smallest inhabited island, Lanai is known for it's quiet beauty.  It is a romantic destination of untouched tranquility and said to easily be Hawaii's "Most Enticing Island".  So, what do you think?  I think "Lanai" it very fitting. xx

Memories from my childhood

Marigolds and Alyssum are the flowers from my childhood.  The path along the back of our house was always bordered with these lovelies.  Because of their dense clusters, they just happened to be the perfect place for toads and frogs to hideout.  I remember many summer days spent searching with my sister for toads in the Marigolds and Alyssum.  Their scent always transports me back to those summer days of long ago.  Introducing "Miss Mari".

Luna Moths and Bleeding Hearts

Introducing my newest collection, Luna.  I am in awe of the exquisite beauty of the Luna Moth.  Tragically, their life cycle is very short. Their sole purpose is to mate and only live for about a week. Bleeding hearts just seem like the perfect flower to share the spotlight with these beautiful creatures.
